Hi Tammy, it looks like they are used to populate the fringe benefit column on the Effort Certification document.

I don't know what the impact would be if you did not generate A2 fringe entries. It seems like having the A2 fringe entries with A2 salaries provides the complete picture of salary and fringe at the time the salary was incurred.

    Thanks, Kymber

    Kymber,

When we looked at the code, we found that the fringe calculation on the ECD is doing the following:

KFS looks at the ENABLE_FRINGE_BENEFIT_CALC_BY_BENEFIT_RATE_CATEGORY_IND parameter.   We have it set to 'N' (same as in Monsters).  So KFS uses the percent from the Labor Benefits Calculation table.  Original F-Ben is the percent * Original Salary.  F-Ben is the Salary * the percent.

Based on that, it doesn't look like the generated A2 fringe entries are used on the ECD for the Original F-Ben.  Can you confirm and provide the code where it is using the A2 fringe entries?

Hi Tammy, I was assuming that the A2 entries were being used based on what I could see on the document. I didn't look at the code. FWIW, the ECD code has not changed in recent years, if ever, so your code most likely matches the current version.

    Thanks, Kymber
