The Customer Invoice Writeoff Lookup allows users in Billing Organizations to write off multiple invoices for multiple customers at one time.
Customer Invoice Writeoff Lookup
The process starts at a Lookup page where you can search for customer invoices that match various criteria. In the screenshot below we are looking for all invoices older than 90 days. After the search criteria has been entered, click Search.
Results are returned that match the entered criteria. Select the appropriate invoices and click Return Selected.
Customer Invoice Writeoff Summary
Selected customers and invoices are returned to the Customer Invoice Writeoff Summary. Enter a note for each customer explaining the reason for the writeoff.
If the Customer Invoice Writeoff documents were successfully created, the following screen is returned. Use Doc Search to find the Customer Invoice Writeoff documents that were created for each invoice. Refer to the Customer Invoice Writeoff article for information on the documents that are created.
If there is a problem creating the Customer Invoice Writeoff documents, the following page will be returned. Refer to the Error Messages to determine why the documents were not created. Once you have fixed the issue that prevents the writeoff documents from being created.
You will need to delete the .xml and .done files that were created by the Customer Invoice Writeoff Summary located in the Batch File - staging/ar/invoiceWriteoff directory.
Once the files are deleted and everything is set up to create the entries to write off the invoices run the process again. Refer to the Customer Invoice Writeoff article for information on how entries are created.
