The Customer Invoice Writeoff Lookup allows users in Billing Organizations to write off multiple invoices for multiple customers at one time.
Customer Invoice Writeoff Lookup
The process starts at a Lookup page where you can search for customer invoices that match various criteria.
Note: The Age filter expects a number and will return results greater than the number entered.
Search Results
Results are returned that match the entered criteria. Select the appropriate invoices and click Return Selected.
Customer Invoice Writeoff Summary
Selected customers and invoices are returned to the Customer Invoice Writeoff Summary. Enter a note for each customer explaining the reason for the writeoff.
Click Create.
- Files (.data and .done) are created and placed in the staging/ad/invoiceWriteoff directory.
- Batch job customerInvoiceWriteoffBatchJob runs to process the files. After the job is complete, the Customer Invoice Writeoff Summary opens and displays the message: Invoice Writeoff group successfully sent to batch.
- If the job was successful, Customer Invoice Write Off documents are created and can be accessed via Doc Search. Refer to the Customer Invoice Writeoff article for information on the documents that are created.
- If the job failed, error messages will display on the Customer Invoice Writeoff Summary and in order to write off the invoices, the errors will need to be resolved and the .data and .done files deleted from the staging/ar/invoiceWriteoff directory.
