Creating Effort Certifications

Log in as khuntley

Checking for data

• Search for data in Labor Ledger Entry (test empl id - 0000001231)
• Users paid on grant account should be picked up by EC

Data can be loaded into monsters environments using files located here - 

• Load them using the Labor Ledger Correction Process
• Make sure any relevant Accounting Period is active
• Jump to Batch Schedule - run testLDBatchJob

Edit Report Definition 2025-A01

• Report Period Status Code: O
• Report Begin Fiscal Period: 01
• Report Type Code: 12
• Change the Pay Period Begin and End Periods to match the accounting periods loaded. 
• Add AC to the Labor Position Object Code Group Code tab.

Submit
Click No, if prompted, overlapping periods won't matter for this test.

Update Effort Certification Parameters using Financials Parameters:

• CREATE_FISCAL_YEAR = 2025
• CREATE_REPORT_NUMBER=A01
• EXTRACT_FISCAL_YEAR=2025
• EXTRACT_REPORT_NUMBER=A01
• RUN_IND (Namespace KFS-EC) = Y

Use Batch Schedule to run the following job: effortCertificationExtractJob

• Use Effort Certification Extract Build to verify that ECs will be created. 

Run batch job: effortCertificationCreateJob

• Use Document Search to find the EC documents that were created.

Open the Route Log and approve the doc to final, to get an EC that is no longer outstanding. Or super user approve to Final.
