Asset Type Code

The Asset Type document defines codes used to describe various types and categories of assets and their depreciable life. 

Most fields are self explanatory, those requiring additional information are listed below.  

• Asset Type: Unique code that identifies the type of asset. 
• Moving Indicator: Indicates if assets of this asset type are movable.  When assets are movable, they can be located on or off campus. 
• Required Building Indicator: Indicates if asset type are buildings.  When assets are buildings, they can only be located on campus.
