Asset Acquisition Type |
Defines codes that specify how assets were acquired. When an income object code is associated with an Asset Acquisition Type, general ledger entries are created when assets are created using Asset Global (add). |

Asset Depreciation Convention |
Associates a financial object sub-type code with one of two Depreciation Convention Codes (HY- Half Year Convention and FY - Full Year Convention). HY - sets the depreciation date to 01/01 FY - sets the depreciation date to 07/01
NOTE: Do not add sub-types to this table if you want the depreciation date to be the same as the in-service date. |

Asset Depreciation Method |
The Asset Depreciation Method document defines codes for identifying the two depreciation methods used by the system, straight line (SL) and salvage value (SV). When salvage value is used as the depreciation method, the calculation will deduct the salvage amount (the residual amount for which the organization expects to sell the equipment) from the depreciation base amount before calculating depreciation but will not for straight line depreciation. You can edit the names of the Asset Depreciation Methods, new values require code. |

Asset Retirement Reason |
The Asset Retirement Reason document defines codes used to indicate why assets are retired. Reason codes can be restricted from use with the Retirement Reason Restriction Indicator. |
